his011. The Museum of Toy Production in Jiřetín pod Bukovou

in the DETOA factory has been conceived as a "living museum" where it is possible to see the production of traditional wooden toys from the original piece of wood up to the final product. Work is still undertaken on original machines in the traditional manner and a lot of the work is done manually. Don't forget to take the children to the creative workshops and the company store! 2. The Shingle Museum in Harrachov

at the bus station attracts visitors with its collections of axes, saws and other tools used in the forest, as well as for the production of shingle roofing materials. 3. The Mining Museum in Harrachov

The interactive exhibition enables visitors to see the production of electricity from water, wind, sun and biomass, to try to produce electrical energy on a bicycle, to turn a water wheel and to move a car around a race track using the photovoltaic phenomenon. focuses on armoured track technology and anti-aircraft artillery (the largest collection of this type in the Czech Republic). 6. The exhibition of the light fortifications from 1938

is located in Příchovice, in the forest below Štěpánka. The building is partially equipped with military equipment and includes two guided tours. You will find it by following the blue-marked trail leading from Motorest Beseda in Příchovice to the Štěpánka lookout tower. his077. The Kittel Museum in Krásná-Pěnčín

Doctor Jan Josef Kittel was suspected of being in league with the devil due to his exceptional curative skills. He is recalled by his secret study and an exhibited copy of a magic book, the so-called Smržovka Grimoire, which apparently belonged to him. One room is dedicated to prehistoric axes made in the early Stone Age in the territory of the current municipality of Krásná. www.kittel.cz

his099. The Bee Teaching Trail in Harrachov

starts at the Harrachov bus station. The goal of the teaching trail is not only to inform walkers about the life of bees, but also to pay tribute to Count Jan Harrach who was the co-founder and Chairman of the Czech Apiarists' Association in 1864. The trail is ca 3.5 km long. www.vcelistezka.cz

in the centre of Harrachov will entertain children and adults. You can try the Big Swing, the bungee trampoline and the climbing wall. 11. The sports hall in Sklárna na Jizerce

offers a volleyball court, basketball, tennis and a small football ground.
